System requirements
Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8 / 7
USB port
1. Download and run “Racing_Wheel_Apex_Updater_v1.33.exe”
※Depending on your security settings on your PC, this program may be flagged as unsafe or unsecure but please know that running is safe and this installer does not pose a threat to your computer.
2. Confirm that you have the screen below.
3. Once the update software launches, press and hold the OPTIONS and SHARE buttons simultaneously and then connect the USB plug to the USB port of your computer while continuing to hold the OPTIONS and SHARE buttons.
Once the Racing Wheel has been recognized, the Device will display and the “Update” button will be visible.
4. Click the “Update” button
When you see the pop up “Update and Verify OK!” the update has been completed.
You can now remove the USB plug from your PC.
When using with PlayStation 5 Console
Connect USB cable to PS5, PS4, or PC while holding down the Assign Button. The Assign LED on the left will flash white twice. The racing wheel can be used on PS5 ("PS5 Mode") when the Platform Toggle Switch is set to PS4-N or PS4-S.
*Due to software implemented restrictions by developers, not all PlayStation5 software titles are currently compatible with the Racing Wheel APEX"
*Vibration does not function when using with the PS5.
*Racing wheel set to PS5 Mode can be used on the PS4, but the vibration feature will not function.
To use with PS4 (Restoring original settings):
Connect USB cable to the PC, PS4, or PS5 while holding down the Assign Button. The Assign LED on the left will flash white once. The wheel will revert back to the default settings which can be used on the PS4.
Settings can be checked by looking at the Assign LED when connecting the USB cable or returning from Standby Mode.
PS5 Mode: Assign LED on the left blinks white twice
PS4 Mode: Assign LED on the left goes out
